About Waï TV Based in Paris, the company was created in March 2000 by a group of experimented producers and managers with an impressive track record (former Grundy-Pearson TV executives). WaïTV is dedicated to light entertainment programmes, developing its own formats and adapting international concepts to fit the local market. In September 2000, WaïTV produced a new quiz show, broadcasted on the satellite Network TPS. "Ca joue ce soir" - Culture Foot - is the first game show exclusively dedicated to soccer, based upon video illustrated questions about the French soccer league. The contestants were able to qualify for up to a € 5000 prize money. The show was broadcasted live before the French premier league events (2000-2001). WaïTV also produces yearly special events as "Le printemps des poètes" (The Springtime of Poets ). The programmes created by WaïTV were broadcasted on prime time by all the majors French networks (TF1, Arte, France 2, France 3, La 5ème) and were sponsored by the French Secretary of Culture and Education. Each year, the most famous French personalities (Singers, actors…) recite and discuss the greatest poems ever written.(2000 to present) With "Le jeu du millionième" WaïTV created a one hour game show format based on television history hits. "Le jeu du millionième" (TV Cults) was transmitted as the biggest event of TPS satellite platform, to celebrate the first million subscribers. WaïTV has been in charge of re-developing the Senior Planet's website. WaïTV has launched and produced "Club Nelly", a live interactive cartoon adapted from TV-animation, on air every afternoon (17.00-18.30) on Télétoons, the leading French network for kids (cable and sat.) WaïTV has been commissioned by the national broadcaster "France 2" to develop and produce prime-time specials. The first show aired on February 26th 2003 with an incredible 44.4% marketshare.
